Stock CD/Cass Unit

Yesterday I put a CD in the unit and it went in no prob but when I went to play it, it was like I never put one in (I checked to make sure I did). The CD in light wasn't lit and when I hit CD it doesn't play it stays on the radio. Eject is no go its not even trying to get it out. NEone experience this. If so any fixes you know of without taking it somewhere.

All this because I took out my Alpine head unit to send it back because the angle function didn't work so I have been stuck with stock and now my stock unit is broken and I can't listen to anything and I am going mad. http://toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

This happened in A LOT of 2001s PROs. Dealer fixed mine asap (new unit). Since then, all's good.

This happened to me when I first got my car. I put in a CD, and I pressed FM/AM by accident and it didn't record getting the CD in the unit. Nothing I did fixed it. It was a Sunday so I couldn't call my dealer, I did so Monday and they gave me the runaround. When I got in my car on Monday later in the day, it showed that there was a CD in it. So I was able to eject. Hasn't happened since, so I didn't do anything.

Unplug the negative battery terminal and plug in back in, It will reset the cd unit and eject the cd.
