It has always been and will continue to be a club about it's members.  It is fortunate that our cars have brought us together, but it is the experiences shared that have made this club what it is today.

This club, built by members, had a few key people that kick started things into motion.  And one key person was Mike our VP. He was really one of a small group that have been apart of this club since the early meets in Markham.

Mike has consistantly been a source of calm collective thoughts, sincere motivation and an all around good person. All of which have contributed to the club in many visible and non-visble ways.

It is with a mix of sadness and happiness that the officers and allumni of this club wish Mike all the best in his new path in life.  His new career in California represents a big step, a step that he deserves and one that I am personally proud of.

With this move he leaves his role as VP with TOProtege, but we all hope that once he his settled can jump onto the boards and boast about life in Cali.

I personally want to thank Mike for his time, efforts and for sharing some really good times.  I am glad that our paths have crossed and we all know how small this world is so it will cross again soon.

A sincere thank you...and we will see you soon.

What else can you say? Sometimes a salute says a lot. Respect, admiration, Envy, Gratitude, and Prid, all of which I would like to convey to you Mike. I'm sure this is not the last time we will see eachother. I look forward to toasting another beer with you.

I Salute you!

damn, i just saw this now. hehehe... http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

thanks for the kind words everyone.

i'm in my new place right now. the house is huge, sharing it with 2 other guys. i work with one of the other guys at my company. good times, cheap rent.

people in my office are great, very smart and nice. i know they all work very hard, so i gotta show them how canadians do it... by working even harder!

as for the car situation, no clue what i'm going to get. i saw a black MSP at a used lot... 45,000miles on it... for $19,999 usd! damn expensive! i know that is WAY over priced cuz i'm reading that guys in the US are selling used ones for $13 or $14k.

looking at the EVO8s... they run about $30k new and $25k slightly used. but the insurance on these things are really high. about $4000 usd per year if i get one. i dunno if i can justify that right now.

the Scion tC is a big seller down here. i am tempted to buy one of these cuz it's cheap for a fully loaded new car. $17k only. there's a white one with a 5spd and factory body kit selling for $18k near my work. since Scion pricing policy is non-negotiable, i don't have to worry about paying over msrp. just too bad there are no discounts.

but yeah, lifestyle here is diff. everything is bigger... haha... big cars, big rims, big soda drinks, big portions... over consuming americans...blah.

anyways, i'll post up pictures when i get a chance.

peace all
