I'm not too big on the Frosted, or whatever type plastic that is used for my headlights. I much prefer the totally clear headlights that cars have now. I'm not a genius or an idiot, I can probably get access to an injection molder, or a vacuum former because they had them at the machine shop in my highschool. I need to know what type of plastic is used in most headlights. Is it acrylic?? I was also wondering if any of you knew much about Injection molding, or vacuum forming, I've got something of a basic understanding of the two but thats about it.
This is mostly just an idea I had while I was at work today on break having a smoke, looking at my car.
What do you guys think??

Incredible.
How hard would it be to make a mould for something like that?? and the cost? Keeping in mind that I'm broke, and that I realize its probably not going to be cheap. I'm pretty positive that I can't do it till next summer unless I win the lottery, but stuff like this I seem to remember alot more than important things like when I work, clutch, shift, gas, etc....
Do you just make the moulds or do you also make stuff with them too? Is there any special type of plastic that should be used??
Thats about all I can think of right now.
Thanks
