Its not I do believe it would be illegal to do an exact replica. So the auto exec is flush with the front bumper the Replica sits back and is more like the stock grill. That is the difference.
Stil looks good though

Hmmm,
I'm gonna have to be a lemming and follow the crowd here - that grill looks quite good in that picture (and as Ed said, to avoid any patent suits, the design cannot be exact).
Almost makes me want to drop the cash on one now...

Gotta be honest...hate to be the first to say it but I think that grill and lip look like shit. Go to the web site and look at different angles, something not quite right. Another thing...$325 for the lip??? They sell a complete replacement bumper for $380 What gives? As for the patent laws...why does DG Motorsports get away with a Auto EXE replica then? Just curious.
To each his own I guess. Just my 2 cents.

It doesn't look right because it's not coloured. For some reason, the jap autoexe lip does look more aggressive than the onderground one, but the onderground is much lower than the autoexe. So it would look okay if you are to look at the whole car. As for the price, 325 is a good deal, unless you want to pay 600 for the autoexe one. the DGM lip isn't exactly the same as autoexe.

Just a little lesson in Patent Law, if you will. Patent Law ensures that a competitors product is not exactly the same as your product. That means that the competition can copy your product to a certain extent, but once they cross an invisible line (determined by the corporations lawyers), they are officially fecked.
So, DGM is treading a fine line - their rip off is close, but different enough not to attract unwanted (read: costly) attention.
And that kids, is today's session "How to Rip off your Competitors and Get Away with It"

I would like to see what it looks like painted to match the car. I think that damn cheese colour makes it look worse that it really is.

Next week you can see the whole kit and accessories up close and personal.
They should be on my car by then.

Patent law is just a stupid USA invention http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif And I don't think you can can patent just a look.
Now, if Autoexe submitted their designs to the WIPO then you'd have something to worry about.. hehe.
But we'd never know one way or the other because their entire website is in Japanese.
