I will be buying winter wiper blades for my Pro5 this season. Last season I had a bitch of a time with ice developing between the openings in our stock wiper blades causing them to streak and miss spots on the windsheild. Damn frustrating!!!

Does anyone know what sizes out wiper blades are? I looked at the book at Canadian Tire and the Pro5 is not listed.

What is the length for the driver's side?
What is the length for the passenger side?

Dave, just go out and measure. And to help stop the problem with ice inbetween the blade, buy the covered ones they sell. They work damn well!

90-94 Protege Wiper Lengths:

*AS LISTED IN THE BOOK AT CT*
Driver - 18"
Passanger - 17"

However, I just love to up the ante on things, so I opted for a larger blade.

*AS LISTED IN MY BOOK* http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Driver - 20" (It's not too large that cant push things off the glass, but large enough that it clears a nice big piece of glass)
Passanger - 16" (I went smaller because the damn wiper was sticking off the the glass because of the curvature in it, and 'cause its the passanger side)

P5 are 21" Driver side and 19" on Passenger side. At CT if you go to the parts counter, they can look it up.

I stopped by Costco on the way home yesterday to pick up winter wipers. I was having the same problem with the stock ones freezing up. Can't remember the brand they were selling... But the reference book they had did list the P5 and it said - drivers side 18", passenger side 20". Nasty part is, they were only sold in packages of two so I didn't buy anything. I want to measure the stock ones before I buy.

BlueZoom: The driver side blade is always longer then the Passenger side Blade...

I had the same problem on Saturday nigth...A block of ice formed and my passenger blade did nothing (literally)...The blade was off the windshield cuz of the friggin ice...

Does anyone know the length for the back?

I'm going to Costco Tonight...If it comes in pairs, does anyone wanna split the sets with me???

The rear one is 14", that's an odd size since no one sells that size except Mazda and it's like 15 bucks.

Kink Kong, find out what the price is for Winter blades, if it's not too much I will split the cost.

Driver side is 21"
Passenger side is 19"
Rear is 14"

Sameer...What do you consider cheap???

1 blade at CT is about 10-12, so if there are 2 per pack and the pack is like 20 then that's cheap for me. Nothing like dealer charging 20 buck for each blade.

Thanks

I just bought the Teflon blades at CT and they're a great improvement over the factory blades. It cost me about $25 for both blades (One 21" and one 19").

When you scrape the ice off your windshield, you should try to not hit the rubber cover thing on the blades because you might tear it and water, ice, snow, whatever, will get in and freeze.
That happened to me last year and I just got them so I didn't want to replace them yet. But because of that I had problems all wniter with the passenger blade freezing. The thought never occurred to me that I could take it off, bring it inside for a day or two and glue the cover once it dried out.

I tried the Teflon winter blades from CT, but didn't like the way they mounted - and they're expensive. I picked up Pylon brand winter wipers from Walmart for $6.58/blade. These are the same brand Costco sells packaged in pairs, but Wallymart sells them individually so you can get one 20", one 18". I haven't installed them yet, but it looks like they will snap on right out of the package.
