I have noticed that ever since I had my new deck installed, I get a whistling noise coming from my speakers that coincides with the throttle. As I accelerate, the whistling gets louder. I had a previous deck installed and never had this problem. Could it be an improper ground? I should note that I had a grounding kit installed at the time of the deck install. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Joe

Bad ground.

Ground the deck directly to the chasis, not into the harness.

Could also be the RCA to the Amp (If you have one..)

The RCA has to stay away from all power wires where possible..

Had a Buick rental once that did this only on on AM radio station........ but it was entertaining because the sound changed with engine speed, and made the car sound like a go-kart when accelerating!

I don't think it's the RCA wire to my amp. I had that installed with my old deck and whistling was never an issue. I'm thinking more and more that it's a bad ground. That's the only thing that has changed since I replaced my deck. Thanks for the help guys!
