Not even close dude! A base modle Lancer is like $16000 CDN and the top of the line O.Z. Rally Edition is $23000 CDN ($25 with leather).

Are you sure? is the top of the line version that you are talking about the evo? Or is it a loaded version of the front drive lancer? Thats what Im thinking for that price. he's talking about the EVO VIII, the one with Horsepower 276@6500 rpm and Torque 275@3000 rpm. i don't think this is coming to Canada..... well... not yet. i'm pretty sure it'll be only available in the states. if it does come here, it won't be less than $40,000. it's supposed to be direct competition with the WRX.

We cant GET the EVO VIII here, but, that price IS for the loaded FWD Lancer. I was tired and didnt really read the post correctly! Still, the base Lancer is the same 130hp motor as the OZ, but its only $16 000 CDN. You could always get the EVO VIII motor and toruque diff. installed and still be about $24 000 CDN.

Apparently the EVO VIII is not coming to canada. It will be available in US in february for 29.999 US so canadian price would be above 40Gs.

I thought they were AWD. oh well not getting them anyway.

Mike (wheels) mentioned that there was a beefed up version of the Impreza WRX called STI coming with about 280 horses as well.

They're only on Evo VII .. there is an announcement on the USA Mitsu site about it. It is AWD with an active center diff .. oooooh
