I'd like to thank the academy, my parents for always believing in me.... Â http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
On a more serious note - this wasn't done totally because no one else stepped up. Â I think there's a lot of potential with Central that's terribly under utilized.
But hey, before we go there, let's talk about something more important - ME. http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif
I've been to enough meets now that most people know who I am (plus there aren't that many caribbean ppl in the group). Â Been coming on here for about a yr or so (I think). Â I drive an 02 sedan that I absolutely love. Â You can recognize it by the bunny on the rear glass http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif
I'd like to think I know enough about cars to answer question so feel free to ask, chat etc. Â I've always believed the point of these kinds of boards is the sharing and exchanging of knowledge and I hope to foster more of that.
To reiterate, some of my plans for central are:
1) Meets. Â We own Toronto! Â Summer & cherry beach anyone?
What's west have? Etobicoke? Mississauga psh. suburb hell. Â
What's east have? Â Scarborough? Nuff said.
2) Re-define central? Â I'm gonna push for this
3) Banners. Â We're lacking here. Â I'm thinking - CN Tower, the EX, Ashbridges. heck, freaking lakeshore at least. Â (irony is, I surf at work so banners and images are turned off) http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
4) More representation. Â It's the city so we have the numbers. Â Let's start flyering cars we see, how's that sound?
5) DWM rocks, but really, let's talk to some dealerships in TO and see what we can hook up.
And that's to name a few.
Mostly, I want to remind people this is a community first and foremost. (pst. look for my party invite in the coming weeks).
So, roll call! Â
If u'r central, shout it out

As an ex central member - good luck on this sylvestre.
Many of the Protege drivers you see downtown are commuters, so you'll have to recognize this as you go along... but still... I agree, Central can be really kickass.
Again good luck.

I was born into this club as a downtown central person and often made the westside meets from there - it would have been great to have more people in central to hang with. ... You've got a big job ahead of you Nick, and I think the personality to pull i off. Good luck to you!
