I bought Pant Savers from Wal-Mart, $15 each (for compact size) with a $3 mail-in rebate... they're working fine so far...

You just gotta suck it up and go to WALMART for the Pantsaver or a simular deep groove channeled mat.
They are an investment to your ride as I once spilled a oversized slurpee and that mat took it all in saving the carpet.
Since I'm ghetto too, I place newspaper underneath the exposed area to soak up the excessive wetness. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Only buy two; ond for the drivers side and passenger side front seats.

I never thought such things....
There was actually a bit of sarcasm.... I don't know of anyone who would buy more than 2 pantsavers for the front of their car....

Dammit my feelings are hurt by a lyrical blowdart.

I guess I really meant not to buy the set of four for the whole car if you didn't want to lay down too much cash.

You're calling me a lyrical blowdart? Don't you know two wrongs don't make a right? Just cause I hurt you, doesn't mean you should try to hurt me back... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

My name is Michael Bryant and I have a couple of on-line personalities and alter-egos which react to situations.
Most of the times you'll be talking to '7th Disciple' the Good Natured Monk in me. Then there is 'Michael Giancanna' who is always ready to fight defensively, and
'Michael GoldstienRosenthalbaum', the crooked mob tied Accounting/Lawyer like calculated mind.
I think the sensitive Shaolin Kungfu Monk gets injured by words and phrases(lyrical blowdarts and ninja stars) and it's all kung-fu martial arts related.
Never get on the bad side though, cause Mr. Giancanna isa ruthless gangster.
Stick around on the board and you'll catch onto the madness.

AAGGHH!!! DON'T DO IT!! DON'T BUY PANTSAVERS!! NEVER BUY PANTSAVERS!! Pantsavers suck ass. Let me use my wisdom of working at a car-wash for 3 years(don't laugh, it's better than you think http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ), and those mats NEVER last more than one year. In doing car interiors, I've seens tonnes and tonnes of mats, and Pantsavers stain, warp, burn, and fade like it's going out of style. I'm not sure who makes them, but the best mats are the really heavey ones(non-reversable), witht the thick outter rim. By far the best.

those are the ones that i have...but only cuz the pant saveers are too large for my car and bunch up...i think they also hold more water..but whatever.
i bought the "big rim" mats at CT...i think theyr'e like ~$20 for fronts and ~$15 for rears. i like them...but keep in mind they're more narrow than the pant savers.

Am I the only one 'thinking outside the MAT'.
Ever heard of cutting them?
Don't they have universal type fitting edges to be trimmed or molded?
Hey, if it is used for winter go ahead with the Pantsaver, cause they can take alot of juice if you know what I mean. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

to trim them the way i'd want, i'd have to cut into the channeled part of the mat, therefore making the mat pritty much pointless cuz then it wouldnt hold water.
thanks for the suggestion tho!

Are you guys taking baths in your car or something? why do you need your mats to hold so much water? Besides, why would you want a rancid saline bath sitting beneath your pantlegs anywho? http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Simply poke a few holes through the flooring your car. Place stock mats over-top of newly punctured holes. Enjoy the ride. Seems extreme but I find it works well with spaghetti. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
