Okay, so I'm thinking about putting Hella Yellowstar H4's in my '02 sedan's headlight sockets. (Yellow=excellent for driving in snow at night).

Factory headlight is 9003 (almost identical to H4), rated at 55W. The bulbs I'm considering are 85/80W. Anyone know if I'm going to damage the plasic headlight housing?

Peace,
Mark

i wouldn't recommend using higher wattage bulbs in your stock setup. by drawing more power into those bulbs through your existing wires, it may blow prematurely or melt the housing of the bulb. i'd recommend that you stay within factory specs.

First hand knowledge that if you go too high you will damage the metal piece on your driving lights.
