Basically take out the whole lite assembly. first of all take out ur bumper, then undo some screws on ur head lite assembly...
when the whoele thing is out, take out (i think) one screw that is there, and rip the lense out of the assembly, be very very very careful or else ur whole assembly will break!! very easily, cuz i have friends that broke there civics'.  well..b4 takin' apart the lense, use a heat gun to try to melt out the clue!! after taht, start ur paintin', let it dry then put it back together, and use some "silicon" to glue them back together....
it looked like a tough job!! and trust me, it is! took the hi-tech crew about 3-4 hrs to do mine, since my car was their ginny pig...
and beware, if u break it, it will cost like +$300 to get new assembly.....hi-tech is offerin' i think $250 or $230 per car......if u r intersted let me  know i can tell my friend there.....the reason y it was pretty expensive, cuz it is a really fuckin' hard job...and the time it takes....is so fuckin' long~~~ newayz..hope this will help you...

j/ a reminder!! if you are gonna do it, seal the lense to the assembly 100%, or else you will have water vapour in ur lites, which is not good at all!!

Yeah, they look really nice. My friend did his Honda Accord too and it took him almost all weekend to finish the project. Basically, he tackled it the same way Siuming did his. Overspray also is a problem so cleaning takes quite a bit of time as well, but in the end, a pretty satisfying mod.
