Well i used the mother 3 step wax system:

Step 1: I applyed this by hand cause i was still scared i using my buffer, be carfull with this product, i started seeing red on my cloth!

Step 2: This step is supposed to remove swrils ....but it does not! However, it gives your car a brillant shine....i'm talking wicked brillant

Step 3: can say anything bad about wax........gotta love the stuff.

Overall: The car turned out wicked, i'm very happy with the products, thank god i had my buffer! Total time 21/2 hours, and still lots of product left for lots more waxing for the future!

I'm plainning on waxing my car ever 4 months or so.....because it's red and red fades super easy!

Hmm. I had better results with phase 2 than you did Nick. The Phase 2 took out halos that were left from the dealer when they used compound. The circular swirls were also taken out and left my paint with a cleaner, uniform shine. I should notice more than you since my car is darker. Since our cars are so new I didn't think Phase 1 was needed (I know I'm right). Bothe Phase 1 and 2 were completed by hand. Maybe it just takes a WESTSIDE touch to do a proper job.

i disagree.
i thought phase 1 was totally worth it. i had ALOT of surface scratches and all those damn trees around my house keep dropping sap and sh!t on my car so there were some spots that i couldn't rub off by normal washing. after phase 1, my terry cloth was so dirty and that was after the car wash too! i didn't see much difference from phase 2 though... maybe cuz you i couldn't see the swirl marks anyways on a silver car. phase 3 wrapped it up and it was silky smooth after. happy with the results ... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm lazy, I used to be a detailer at a G.M. dealership, and I just go talk to one of the guys I used to work with, he does paintless, or whatever the fuck they call it, dent removal too. I just slip him 60- 70 bucks and its all taken care of. I do wax the car myself, but I don't have a rotary buffer or anything like that, and he's been doing that stuff alot longer than me anyways.
