Anyone else think their A/F gauge is a waste of electricity? When I'm idling, the gauge bounces from LEAN to Rich every few seconds. When I'm WOT, all I get is RICH. This reminds me of the dancing light I had five years ago. http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

No.
I have found it useful in quite a few situations, the latest being a vacuum leak. Without the A/F gauge I wouldn't have known that I was running lean (hence vacuum leak). The bouncing light may be annoying but it's simply because the ECU is adjusting the A/F ratio all the time.

Those are generally made for NA cars, thus the reason you see a rich mixture under WOT, you could be running super lean for an FI application and that meter will tell you you are rich
