Anyone know how to align the headlights "properly"? I was going to turn them on against a white garage door and do them, but how accurate would this be? Right now they are totally off thanks to the repair shop that fixed my car. http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif I'd rather save time and do them myself, but I just wanted to know what's the best way of doing it.

This (http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html) is the PROPER way to aim your headlamps.

If you find a suitable location, let me know as I also need to check my aiming (lovin' my new EDM lights).

Yes, please post if you find a good location, since the shop that did my wifes repairs left the lights all cockeyed.

And i may eventually replace my lights also...

maybe a headlight adjustment meet is in order...

Sweet! Thanks Mike. I have enough room in my underground parking to do this, so I'll be doing it there one night this week.

Just remeber you need a relatively level ground.

I say relatively cause you probably won't find that.

The best place I can think of would be an empty ware-house?

if you don't have room...

mark the axis points on the wall like daniel's instructions says (the axis is designated by the dot on the center of the headlight lens)
as common sense dictates, make sure the marking on the wall is perpendicular to the car
then back up the car 3 metres away from the wall
now measure 3cm downwards from the axis mark you placed earlier and then mark the new location
aim to that spot which is 3cm from the axis mark
