Anyone know of any red marker lights that would make a clean replacement for the amber ones on the front bumper of my P5?
I have a red lighting theme on my car (red neons under the car and inside), and the stock ambers on the bumper just don't match!
Any help would be appreciated!

The first step would be to have clear lenes put out on the market, then red ones........I think you'll have to wait a bit HOndaKilla

What colour is your car? Hopefully it's not red.. cuz too much red is sorta flat.

I smell a ticket, red lights at the front of your car are illegal and you will def. get pulled over, ask Nicj about his turn signals. (sorry Nick)

Actually what you might be able to get away with is if you got clear lenese.. then tinted them red (Like the back of a 98 Accord) and put in amber reflectors (amber bulbs might even be enough).
That way in the daytime they would look red but at night they would glow amber which is really the issue.

Red lights go wherever the F*CK I want them to go!
I don't care if its illegal I just asked if anyone knows of some that might fit nicely.
A guess I should specify a little better next time!!!!!!

In that case, get some clear ones from either an eclipse, celica or RX-7 and put some red film on the inside. This is kinda ghetto but if you put that stuff that gift baskets are made from (obviously red) and cut it to size, fix it in place with a small bead of glue on the edges you will have red lights that you can put whatever colour bulb in you need.

Isn't there also some kind of spray you can get that will tint them, but still allow the lights to shine through normally?
Can't remember where I saw it though... it may have only been blackout spray, not coloured.

HONDAKILLA you are a breath of fresh air! I have the same attitude "I'll do whatever the F I want to do to my car and F the cops".
I installed clear bumper lenses by modifying APC's Eclipse bumper lenses. I don't recommend you get the eclipse lenses because they stick out quite a bit away from the body. You can, however cut them, and you most likely would so that you could tint them red and then reseal them with silicon. Mind you the APC lenses come as a completely clear or as a refractive lense (like stock but clear). I think the latter model would look better red. There is a post somewhere on this board that refers to bumper lenses (written by me). Look it up for the part numbers and for pics of what the Eclipse lenses look on a P5 (note: I mounted my upside down - I think it looks better and compliments the shape of the headlights).

If you use the transparent red paper from gift wrapping, wouldn't it melt?

A lot of people use that as a very cheap mod to change theur interior lights. So I don't think it will melt. Why they do this, I have no idea because the bulbs are $5 and you can change them so easy.

To all those interested...
Nobody is telling you what you can and cannot do to your car. You're absolutely right. You can do whatever you want and no one can stop you...
...except the cops.
I think there are two main reasons that this board is so careful when it comes to doing things legally somtimes.
1.) As a club, we can't give the impression that we condone, encourage, or support illegal activity of any sort. This is an enthusiast club, and we are all in it for the love of our cars, regarless of mods.
2.) Some people out there are just nice guys who are trying to inform those as to exactly what is legal and what isn't. There have been a lot of question flying around lately as to the legal limits of turn signals (front and back) and those guys are just trying to save someone a ticket they may not have bargained for.
So go ahead and do whatever you want to you car, knowing that you've done it in full light of the law, and knowing that this club tries to make every reasonable effort to distinguish what is lawful and what isn't, so as to not give the impression that we promote any restricted modifications.
Happy modding http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif
