hey guys/gals, i have been shopin' around
for filter...to fit into the ractive intake,
do u think i should keep the ractive filter
or change it to another one like k&n, tenzo, apexi,
etc.. is it worth extra 50$ to do that??
do they actually perform better??? w/ the
brand name ones..???

To be honest they all use the same materials.... but again it is up to u if u want to buy K&N and wash it once, twice a year... or buy the Ractive and change it once, twice a year hehe http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif .... yeas K&N is good company and they make good stuff... but... is a filter worth 100$ ??

you pit in your mazdaspeed filter?
notice a difference?
did you leave the airbox lid on?

Yeah I put in the MS filter and put it back together the way it usually is. It does seem happier revving now. Much better through the upper RPMs. Can't say I've really noticed any increases in _power_ but just more smoothness.
