Ok so I disconnected the little wire by the handbrake so I could drive around with just the 2 amber turnsignals on. But now it says that my E brake is on when it's not. I realize that the wire I disconnected is the reason but I just want to know if there is any way I could get the E brake light to go off. I don't care if it stays off forever even if the E brake is on, it just bugs me when Im driving around with a lil red light on my dashboard. Oh and if there is any better way to get those amber lights to be the only ones to stay on and be able to drive around with them then that would be great to know too. Thanks

The Ebrake light also serves another purpose...to tell you when the pads are getting thin...
so disabling it may not be a good idea...

Yeah I knew about the brake pad thing. But I don't really care about that cuz I check mine all the time so it makes no diff. And I don't get the black tape thing. If I re connect the wire, the day time running lights will come on instead of just the amber ones.

You could locate the warning light bulb and remove it from the instrument cluster.
Wouldn't take more than 10 mins.
I wouldn't do it though...

It actually tells you when you have low brake fluid and tells you when you have the e-brake on.
The only reason it will inform you of low pads is cause all the fluid is in the brake lines and therfore the master cylender is low on fluid.
It's not a good thing to defeat this light.
Alos you could do this DRL disable (http://ib2.toprotege.com/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=33;t=7821)

If you disable the DRL using the e-brake ground wire, the e-brake light will always be on.
Add a switch so you can turn the DRL back on at night when you have your headlights on. The warning light isn't that noticable during the day.

the way I did it does not turn on your brkae warning light.
It completely separates the e-brake and the DRL functions.
so your DRL will have a switch. and your e-brake will work perfectly.
