Could be just me but I was out driving today, and everytime I let the clutch out in either first or second, it seems to skip once and then catch. Never really done this before, if it has I just noticed it now. the car has roughly 14,000 K on it. Anyone else experience this?
My car also has the engine rattle problem. Raymond said Mazda is supposedly releasing an ECU program update to adjust the VCTS timing or something to correct the problem. Think we're gonna get a recall notice in the mail or since it supposedly doesn't affect every vehicle, only get the fix if we mention it to the service tech?

Get it checked out by your dealership....mine did the same thing. It's turned out to be the clutch assebly kit...now that it's fixed the car is a dream to drive..

Damn, I'm scared now, but I think next servicing even if I don't feel it, I wanna get that upgrade anyways to be safe. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

It's not an upgrade my coloured brother! It's a replacement, and it will only be replaced if they can prove somethings wrong witht the one you have now...if it doesn't chatter don't worry...you've got other things to worry about like being pulled over!!!

Please describe what your clutch chatter felt like. I find I can't drive in first AT ALL except just to get the car rolling, after that it would bounce like a mo'fo.
I'm due for an oil change so I'm gonna (politely at first) get them to check the clutch and now my damn rear wiper! Sounds like something grinding only when it's cold. and more frequently on intermittent.
Starting to wonder if my baby is turning out to be a lemon...
