Applying wax

Ok it's going to be very nice for the next few days...i want to know if can

Lets say:

Apply Mother First Phase stuff on Monday
Apply Mother Second phase stuff on Tuesday
Apply Wax on Wednesday.

Or do you have to do all three coats in the same time span?

Technically, you should do it all in one time span... which might take you anywhere from 4-6 hrs depending on how you're applying the wax and how many hands you got working for ya. It's better to do it this way, b/c if you do one phase, leave it, then go around town, you'll pick up alot of dirt, dust and road grime and you're gonna have to wash your car and then do the 2nd phase, which might not be as effective....

so try and do it in one shot if you can .... and get at least another person who you can trust with your car to help ya... that saves you ALOT of elbow grease!

Totally agree with ChopstickHero, coz' the first step is used to remove accumulated road film, tar and acid rain deposits. If you do the first step and drive around then your car will collect those stuff again, especially bug and tar, which are so hard to clean with just water. So if you leave a day between the first and second step, you may end up doing the first step again on the second day (which is Tuesday according to your schedule). So I am saying the same thing as Mike, do all 3 steps in a day.

Its fine if you do it in the shade. Make sure your car's paint is not very hot when you do it. Put your hose on it to cool it down before waxing.

WeeBie...unless your car is yellow or white, I wouldn't suggest doing it in the sun...it dries too fast and it is much harder to do. If you can find some shade on a reasonably warm day do it then. Another thing to avoid is a really humid day...it takes forever for the wax to dry properly.

The best place to do the car is in the shade...It keeps the wash or stuff from drying before you have a chance to rub it in or wipe it off....So actually the best day to do your car is an overcast day when it aint gonna rain

If you have no shade out by where you live then you might want to contemplate waxing your ride where there is underground parking or at least sheltered parking. Many malls throughout Toronto offer covered parking and the malls are never so packed that you can't find a fairly nice sized clear spot to park your ride. I wax my car in my condo's underground garage. Otherwise I would consider driving to Sherway Gardens and parking under the shelter there. It's ghetto but you car's finish won't be.


Oh and all the eastside kidz...... better shut up and stick to what you kidz do best; duct taping hamsters and shoving them up yo ass using mayo as a lubricant.

Westsiders cars go faster than Eastsides...but that because they never have girls in there cars, they are too busy trying to hump the change thing we have on the side of the steering wheel. Most of the time they find the change thing too loose.
