Hey everyone can anyone suggest a paint to use on the engine. I want to paint my heat sheild and the top of the engine.

I have had the best experiences with rust paint. Good old Tremclad is one of th ebest out there. It's cheap and the colour stays true.

but regular tremclad wont discolour because of the heat?

Tremclad high-heat spray paints are also available @ Canadian Tire & Walmart. Not only will they protect parts like manifolds from rusting, the paint won't crack under high-heat conditions as well. Something like $5-$7 per can...

yeah.... i agree with mark, that Tremclad stuff we used on our brake calipers is still bright. it hasn't flaked or chipped yet and with the use of a good brake dust lifter (i use blackmagic brand), your wheels and brake calipers will look awesome.
