Where did you see these? Are you sure they were for the Protege5, because there some for the sedan that are like 300.
Let me know, I might be interested in buying them.

Even at $300 I want the clear tail lights. I seriously don't think they exist yet though. Where you getting this info? Do you have a part number or a website?
I question your sources.....
If you're right though I'll buy you lunch at the June 8th meet.

I saw the picture in a new catalogue that just came out at the place where i went... it's like a flea market or something... it's the new altezza's for the P5... i can get the part number next weekend... i'll post it for you... along with a price and a part number... i may be new to this site... but i'll assure you now... i've done my p5 research... i've looked at a lot of places... and I don't lie about things...

by the way... they just were the clear lights... not the carbon fibre... (sorry Protege5 Kid...) but i'm sure that those ones will come out soon... i was actually told to expect these lights to come out at the end of the summer... which didn't make any sense to me... but one brand (i can't remember the brand, but like i said i will find out next weekend)... have now brought them out...

I'd probably get a set of carbon fiber tails as well. Damn that would look good.

Flat black or CF would be great just want to darken up the back end.

i agree with the carbon fibre back too... in my opinion I think it's better looking than the altezza's... but the clears do look good on some cars...

hey... does anyone know about the general law for changing bulbs on a car/changing the back lights on a car??
i want to change the back and front turn signals on my car toady, but i'm not sure whether it's a good idea (i.e. will i be getting any tickets for it in the near future??)....
I hope this isn't a whole new topic...

Here goes, you can have any colour between amber and red in the rear for turn signals and I believe white to amber in the front. I may be wrong on the fronts.

so i can't put any clear turn signals on the back??
Protege5 Kid
June 4th, 2002, 01:12 PM
NO!! unfortunatly.........put red ones they look good too!

for a yellow mp5?? i can't picture that...
Protege5 Kid
June 4th, 2002, 01:35 PM
Well red and yellow go really well together. and your stock lenes in the back are red, so when you turn on your signals, it won't look strange for a red light to flash......if anything the amber one doesn't look great!
Do i make any sense?

As far as I can remember there is nothing in the traffic act that states that the rear turn signals must be red or amber, it only states that there must be three red lights according to section 11 of the Equipement part..... except in the case of a public vehicle which shall display amber lights at the front, and three lighted lamps displaying red lights at the rear, [/B]

for everyone.... yeah... it's a eurolite part... I'll find out the part number this weekend... i'm talking to my guy about the prices also... the guy that i spoke to said $300 (i said this before)... but I'll get it though someone I know... and Concept P5 guy... let me know after i get you that part number how much you can get them for... and we'll compare... cost obviously sounds better though... so just be a little patient....

Yeah... i was actually looking at the HTA today... i've taken the section out about the lights... and I also called the MT Enforcement office today...the officer there told me it's basically up for interpretation... I've already bought the clear turn bulbs for the front, but also picked up the red bulbs for the back... but i'd rather have clear at the back since the housing is clear...
any objections??/ criticizms??/ comments??
(btw... it's a yellow P5, and I don't know what would look better on it...)
Aman....

I have clear turns in the back as well as the front. I think White is the way to go on your Yellow ride. However, I have to add that the blue bulbs that flash white might look dumb. Instead get the bulbs that flash white but when they are not in use they look like the bulb is chromed so that the reflection in your turn light lense will stay clear. Although I am certain that these bulbs are available in the 1157 I am not sure if you can find them in the 7740 format so you might what to check.
I really want these taillights! I wanna see a pic of them right now! WAAA WAAA WAA!!!

working on it cruisinblackp5... sorry... i KNOW it's in the new eurolite catologue... but i also have a fishy feeling about it... i called the guy who owns the store to verify that it's for the p5, cause when i asked the guys who work for him... they didn't seem to sure when they tried to assure ME that it was the right part... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif I'm really sorry if it's not for the P5... the picture really looks like it's for the P5... but again... waiting for the confirmation....
