Got my TWM installed and what a difference! But the throw is very tight now. How long did it take yours to loose up?

And thanks to Evolution for helping me with the install. You got my all you can drink bubble tea next time. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

i have a shifter ordered and bushings, who did your install?
Are they willing to help others from he club? Please assist as i do not trust any of the mechanics where I live....the closest place would be Simcoe Mazda in Orillia.....well anyway....all the best breaking your new shifter in...

Put it in myself with help from EvolutionIV (Harold). I think the hardest parts are getting the snap ring to come off and sliding the bottom bolt back onto the new shifter. I had a snap ring puller and still find it hard to remove by myself. But the one I have sucks so maybe that's the reason. And when you try to put the bottom bolt back it's helpful to have somebody inside the car to hold the shifter in place for you.

Your shifter will not "loosen up" very much...it will start to feel a little easier but that just your tranny falling apart...just joking!!!! Hey if you wanted soft and easy shifting then you wouldn't have bought a SS would ya? Come on man....Bang those gears until they cry for mercy!

If you want it to be smoother, change your tranny fluid to something better than the stock Mazda stuff. P5 2 NV did it and it made a huge difference.

I already have Redline MT90 in the box. Maybe I put the bolt on too tight? I dunno...
