cigarette lighter not working

On the weekend I used a air pump in my cigarette lighter. After a few second it stopped so I figured I blew a fuse. I checked EVERY fuse with a multimeter.


all the lights, windows, horn, radio, locks, etc work.
every single fuse no matter what it's for is good. I checked and re-checked.

Is there some kind of overheating protection??

I'd check the power wire leading to the lighter socket to see if there is any voltage before the actual socket itself. It might be alot of work but I think tracing the wire from the fuse to the socket is your best bet.
