As the title says, I am in need of 4 new tires (195/50/16) for my stock rims. I can't afford new rims right now and I am in dire need of new tires so I'll have to stick to the stock size for now.

I'm looking for a good set of all season tires at an affordable price that I can pick up either this weekend or next. Anyone recommend a good place to get them or have prices for me? I can only afford about $150 a tire for now.

Thanks!

talk to Jason or Justin at Kipling Tire. I dont have the # with me now, it's at work.
They are on Kipling between Quennsway and Bloor.
You should have good selection under $150.
Tell them Mike with the Orange Protege sent you.

Do you really want all seasons? If so look for a place that sells Kuhmos.

My dad had the all seasons on his '99 Protege sedan, and my wife has them on her Saturn Coupe. Around $500 installed and ballanced. I don't remember which ones they have. But Kuhmos are the best bang for the buck.

I would go for summers and save your pennies for winter rubber and steelies, really not that expensive. If you go for summers, the for ECSTA 711 are great. Should be around $100 each.

I have them, really great for the price.

I've been looking to get new tires as my old ones are essentially dead, at least a pair of them are........anyways, went to a couple places and grabbed some prices from them.......maybe this will help you figure out prices.....i was looking at 205/50/16 and 205/45/16.....thinking fatter tires might look better http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

From Tire Depot in Mississauga (www.tiredepot.com)
Yokohama AVS ES100 = $171ea + tax
Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S = $174ea + tax
Kumho Ecsta 712 = $133ea + tax
Fuzion ZRi = $119ea + tax

From Wheel & Tire Zone in Mississauga
Dunlop Sport FM901 = $152ea + tax
Yokohama AVS ES100 = $220ea + tax
Kumho Ecsta MX = $218ea + tax
Kumho Ecsta 712 = $150ea + tax
Fuzion ZRi = $145ea + tax

I realize that prices from WTZ is way more than the other place, but gives you some reference. All these prices also include mounting, installation, and balancing. I think the price difference between the 45 and 50 ratios are about $5, same with the 195 vs 205.

I'm curious to know what people think of these tires.....also looking at the Toyo Proxes 4 and Falken FK-451, but forgot to ask for those prices......
