Rant,This is kind of a thread jack ,No offense to you Russian but,how far are you from TO ,If I want to go to a meet I must drive 5hrs ,codz has to come from Windsor . The guys form Ottawa have a 4 hr trip as well . If you want to attend a meet you can always find the time to attend .
These meets take lots of time to organize and when people say that they are coming then back out at the last miniute make the organizer feel like why spend the time if no one is going to show .
If theis club is to expand the membership has to support the meets . tThis way we can get more people aware of our cars ,especially the aftermarket . Why do you think Honda has such a huge aftermarket base .
There is lots of notice for meets ,I myself plan to attend a few ever year . Personally I think there is no excuse not to attend a couple of meets every year . Malcolm

I love meets.. i rarely get to go to them.. specially the weekday ones cause of my job and the way it works.. but last years meet in kingston, with all those protege's by the water.. amazing.. looking at other rides.. I love driving, thats why i'm in a club and caring for my ride.. If my ride was ready by now, i'd be at every weekend meet.... I hope to god its done at essential by the time this one rolls around..

Hurray another major meet cancelled due to lack of intrest ,Oh sorry due to distance ,Sorry but I am pissed about this .  Time is taken to plan an event then it gets cancelled at the last minute  so that another meet can take place . ITs no wonder the turnouts are not very good  to themajor events .
 I realize the this group is from the GTA ,but there are members that plan only to attend a few events every year dur to distance and holiday schedules,like me .

Im NOT making the BRULLEN thing the official event. However, there has been next to ZERO interest in this event on the part of Club Protege Quebec and very little on behalf of the TOP. In fact, several members who said they WOULD go to the TOP vs CPQ event are now saying they arent gonna go because of various reasons (such as gas, distance, Brullen, etc). I know how you feel. I too am disapointed about the way things turned out.
Having said that, I DO encourage any member that still feels like attending the Kingston event to PLEASE do so (its just not gonna be an OFFICIAL event now). I am sure it will be great fun.
I can not create events that suit me (thats for my own time). I have to do events that are in the best interest of the club and if the majority of the club wishes to not do this, I have to respect that and not plan something for a few people (that is what SOCIAL GATHERINGS are for for).
For those that are staying local for this day (wheither you are going to Brullen or not), there will be an official event the EVENING of JUNE 12...

Actually I didn't mean that I don't want to go to Toronto , or it's too far for me . Just said that it would be nice to have something local for me . That's all . I don't mind driving at all , and I don't care how far is it, as soon, as there gonna be something that worth it.

About going to Kingston , I would love to go there, and my gf whants to go there as well, but she's working and it's gonna be impossible for her to get a day off because she booked some for week after that to celebrate my birthday . Even then I would like to go there to meet as soon as there gonna be somebody else going .

That sucks, having it known in advance we could have done smoething, but now with less than 2 weeks before the event it is a little late. Sorry to hear about this man, I know you were really looking forward to it! Don't let it ruin your weekend end though, I know you and serek will still have tons of fun. Last year the QPC made a hugh showing at the event we booked and was a blast as most felt, too bad, but since they are scattered all over the province it is harder for them to get to events like this.(Plus some of them got warned on the 401 http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ) Ah well somethings will never change. I hope you have agreat time there.

Cool man I understand the call. No diss or offence meant ot Mack or anyne else but if no one is going, then it can't be an official event. Tough call but I understand. Things look like you're doing great though. The turnout for ES looked awsome and I am sure Familia and the BBQ this year will be awe inspiring! Keep up the hard work, I know it takes a lot of your time to organize these things!

Everyone else:
sorry my rant time. When asked about attendance speak up! I mean here it was, a great event getting lost because no one spoke up till it was too late, now Mack has a post in Social meetings and no answers. If your going great then say so. If your not going then don't say anything, it will make it easier for everyone. P.S. Don't use gas or distance as an excuse. Cars are meant for driving, so get out and drive them places. Doug, Kris, Macklum and anyone I missed drive very long distances to make events and never complain. Heck I drove to Ottawa for the RX7 Meet.Just have fun, that is what we do these things for isn't it?

The Rogue Brullen Meet has stirred people.
Don't worry Minority TPC Loyalist Bastards, I did not choose sides; I was initially confused about the two conflicting events.

I am moving out of the ghetto in a few weeks and the schedule is tight with the business aspect of it so my non-committment was evident, but damn I love long distant cruises with the FRS and the Squadron.

Perhaps.., The Informal TPC/WRC Strawberry Picking Mild Cruise will attract a few, but even that is not ironed out. I am just expecting a handful who want a laid back Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I wouldn't want you to come all the way from Windsor to be disappointed.

We all need to get on the same page with Social Gatherings and not make them conflict with Official Events.
