I would like to nominate myself for this position. Mebership has been a subject of intrest for me. I would like to see more sponsors with the club and greater discounts for a secured membership.
I have organizational skills that would also benefit this position. The creation of this position is a very good opportunity for our club and all of its members.
I have a lot of ideas to bring to this position.

My suggestion is for the membership officer to work with the regional reps. The reps should distribute membership to folks in their areas (gives them the chance to have a warm fuzzy with new members) and then work back with the membership officer.

I completley agree with this. I have already anticipated this in my considerations. I dont think this position could work without the support of reps and vise versa.

I would have liked to go for this position as well. However, I'm actively looking for work in Ottawa and making a year long commitment then moving away isn't fair to the club or to me. I would like to become more involved in the club though, and to whoever ends up with the position, I would like to volunteer some of my time, especially with the new paid membership thing coming starting up ... I will contact whoever it is via PM once the person is chosen. http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Cheers.
