I noticed that ever since i put the intake in my car (the ractive) the throttle seems stiffer. As in its harder to push the gas pedal and takes more force from my foot. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Anyone else notice anything like this?? I cant figure out what it could be.

You probably have to adjust your fuel richness... same with adding a new exhaust you have adjust that sh*t. I am no expert so don't ask me how it's done! Anyone else?

Andrew you are the first to notice anything like that. I have the AEM intake and my pedal seemed to be lighter after the install. You may be just pressing it harder now that you can hear the power in the engine! LOL.
But really I have no idea why your throttle feels stiffer. I don't think it has anything to do with your air/fuel ratio so don't worry about that. Have you taken a close look at the pedal? Did you have your 24000K service performed recently (cause they change idle speed)?

I have no clue what it is, i havent had my 24000 service done cuz i only have like 8000 on the car http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif But anyway i reset the ecu a couple weeks ago and the pedal lightned up and now just yesterday the pedal seemed to get stiffer again. I am gonna try to reset again tomorrow and see if that changes anything. I will let you guys know.

I am with navy on this one...check the pedal it sounds mechanical to me not electrical...and I wouldn't dick around with the electrical stuff unless you REALLY know what you are doing.
Sounds stupid, but watch your floor mat, if it isn't on the hanger it will crawl up underneath your gas pedal, and it will cause this type of problem.
If it keeps giving you problems...take it to your dealer (Avante if you want the BEST service) and ask them...that is what they are there for!
Good luck...let us know what you find out!

Normally your ECU detects any problems that may arise as far as any abnormalities in your intake system. If your check engine light comes on, then there's a problem in the setup and perhaps, even your MAF placement (check the whole intake setup if it's rubbing anywhere). Otherwise, resetting your ECU wouldn't really solve the problem.

the pedal has loosened up again, and i never reset the ecu. who knows what it was. I never got any check engine lights or anything like that. The car actually kinda felt more powerful when the pedal was stiffer, but i think that is all in my mind. Anyway for now its fine. Thanks guys
