4 votes so far, for yes.
Who is the other mystery person?
A nice small group is okay too! We'll bring our FRS units. It'll be harder to play capture the flag and survival, but we can do it. Mike Moschellangelo and I, will solve our differences by then, so it'll be a peaceful trip. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

portage store website (http://www.portagestore.com/index.htm)
O.k. here goes. Like I said it would be in May or July or August, because of bug season. May is still kinda early in the year but its not really that cold. I was thinking of staying on Parkside Bay, its a nice little spot, I've been there before. there is only one short portage to get there about 60-100 metres. its about 2 1/2 hours or so by canoe, depending on how fast we paddle. There is a maximum of 9 people per campsite however, so unless we want to take 2 different campsites, then thats all we can bring. I'm not trying to scare anyone off, quite the contrary, I'd like EVERYONE to go, but I want you to know what to expect. We will be at least 2 hours away from civilization, there is NO running water, electricity, showers etc. the closest thing to a bathroom is a 3foot by 3 foot wooden box with a hole in it. We'll be drinking boiled lake water, though, even without boiling it, I would still trust that untreated water more than some city water systems.
Details, details, I don't know what type of camping equipment everyone has, tents, backpacks etc..... we will need to rent canoes, unless someone has a couple to bring along.
I don't really thnk I went into enough detail really, but my mind just went completely blank. I can take care of reservations, permits and all that closer to when the time comes, as well as packing lists, clothing, equipment, cookwear, food etc. Perhaps we can get a trip to the Toronto sportsman show together this March.
Now that I think of it, are there any experienced canoeists here or does anyone besides me know canoe over canoe rescue just in case??
Edit: I was thinking of maybe like 4 days and 3 nights.
Also, when I get back to school and have access to a scanner I'll put up some pictures of my other trips there.
The scenery is incredible.

Sounds like fun, but I've never done it before. I don't swim so well, except in calm water.

Aye true dat. I just prefer the more laid back, mellow atmosphere of a quiet canoe trip into the wilderness, where I'm more at home, where I was meant to be.
